This Iced Matcha Latte is a modern favorite that blends vibrant green tea powder with cold almond milk for a creamy, refreshing drink. It’s lightly caffeinated, dairy-free, and naturally rich in antioxidants—perfect for hot days or as a coffee alternative.
2 tsp matcha green tea powder (ceremonial-grade if possible)
4 Tbsp hot water (not boiling, ~80 °C)
1 ½ cups cold almond milk (unsweetened or lightly sweetened)
1–2 tsp honey, agave, or maple syrup (to taste)
Ice cubes (as needed)
In a small bowl, sift the matcha powder to remove clumps.
Add hot water and whisk vigorously in a zigzag motion until smooth and frothy.
Fill two glasses with ice cubes.
Pour almond milk into each glass.
Slowly pour the whisked matcha over the milk to create a layered effect.
Stir gently before drinking and sweeten to taste.
Use oat milk or soy milk instead of almond milk for a creamier version.
For extra flavor, add a drop of vanilla extract.
Adjust sweetness to your preference—or skip for a pure, earthy taste.
